Reservation City Tours
On Saturday and Sunday, EUT workshops will take place from 2pm- 3:30pm and 4pm-5:30pm. At 4pm on both days, we offer special guided city tours in cooperation with the tourist office Ulm/Neu-Ulm.
For those tours we ask your binding reservation via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
giving us the following information:
• participant (first and last name)
• name and day of the tour
• amount (€)
After receiving your binding reservation, you will obtain a confirmation by email including the payment information. Please note: The tours will be offered by the tourist office Ulm/Neu-Ulm. For this reason, the payment deadline is May 25, 2017!
In case of cancellation of a tour due to insufficient number of registrations, reimbursement will be done at the conference desk.
Registration is not required for the workshops.
Guided tour through the historic center of Ulm and visit to Ulm Minster - Saturday, 4pm
Get to know the twin cities on the Danube. You’ll get interesting explanations of the history and present of both cities, Ulm and Neu-Ulm, pay a visit to the Minster, the old town, the historic town hall, the environs of the Danube’s riverbank and the romantic Fishermen’s and Tanners’ Quarter.
Guided tour in Ulm on Hans and Sophie Scholl - Saturday, 4pm
Hans and Sophie Scholl were a brother and sister who were members of the White Rose, a student group in Munich that was active in the nonviolent resistance movement in Nazi Germany, especially in distributing ﬂyers against the war and the dictatorship of Adolf Hitler. The Scholl family came to Ulm in 1932, where the children experienced their youth during the ﬁrst years of the Nazi government. One of the most famous ﬂyers of the White Rose was produced and hidden in Ulm.
Special guided tour in historical garment: About seething, tanning, cupping and kneading… - Sunday, 4pm
Interested in learning about toil and leisure in the ﬁshermen’s and tanners’ quarter? In this former craftsmen’s quarter, we can still see the remains of the working world of these guilds as well as those of the skippers, millers, yarn boilers, orbakers.
Guided tour with Heinrich, the city musician, - Sunday, 4pm
Experience a musical tour in historical garment. In earlier centuries the local council hired city musicians as a representative gesture to entertain important visitors. Experience music and information on the city during a musical journey through time.
Guided bus tour through Ulm - Sunday, 4pm
If your legs do not permit a longer walk, go on a guided bus tour to all sights “in Ulm und um Ulm und um Ulm herum” (in and around Ulm).
